Even though we use the utmost care when handling and scanning your slides and negatives and our scanners are explicitly engineered never to damage a slide or negative, accidents can happen. You should review the precautions we take for details on the care that we use when working with your slides and negatives. By ordering services from ScanMySlides, you agree not to hold us liable for any loss or damage to your slides and negatives. We also cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss incurred while your slides and negatives are being shipped. We advise all of our customers to use adequate insurance when shipping items and to pack them well. We will return them in the same manner they were shipped to us and will insure them according to your wishes.
We refuse to scan images that we consider to be explicit or pornographic in any way. We have to look at each individual image to ensure it is cropped and rotated correctly and will know very soon if there are images of this type included in your order. While we generally try to accommodate our customers in modifying our workflow to fit their needs, we will not change our stance on this topic for any reason. If there are slides or negatives that we consider to be offensive, your order will be terminated, you will be charged for the slides and negatives we have scanned, your slides and negatives will be returned, and the balance of your money will be refunded. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
